This story happened like it was in the movies, but it was in the real. A friend of mine told me this story some days ago and I would want my readers to enjoy it. Sometimes in 2005 a banker in Lagos was in love with an undergraduate and decided to marry her, but the girl had other plans. So the girl politely refused, after befriending this banker for almost one year.
The banker tried to get to know this girl and her people, because hew would really want to spend his whole life with her, but all to no avail as the girl simply went underground, changing her phone number, address and other contacts. The banker was frustrated, so he went on with his life as if nothing happened.
On a fateful day, he saw right in front of him, a girl bearing a striking resemblance to his former girl, wanting to cash a cheque on his desk. They started a discussion which led to an appointment. Unknown to this guy, this girl was a twin to the other girl, but their identities differ so much. The first girl was lying to this my friend about her identity, no real surnames, no real state of origin, all were fakes.
Until this banker went with his people to the girls’ parents place to do a traditional marriage introduction that the banker came face to face with his former girl! Haba, confusion set in and it took the intervention of the neighbors to settle the arguments.
In the end my guy insisted on marrying his girl, the second one. And the case is still under considerations from the kinsmen. Did this guy commit any sin by insisting on marrying this second girl after dating the first?
